What age should my child start lessons?
Children can start as early as 6 months in Parent and Child classes. For independent lessons, around 2 to 4 years old is a good range. Our 1-on-2 semi-private lessons are great for young swimmers. Our instructors will assess your child’s abilities for the best fit.
Why should my child take swim lessons year-round?
We believe that swim lessons are a valuable and ongoing journey. Our year-round lessons are designed to help students consistently enhance their swimming skills and deepen their understanding of water safety. We offer the convenience of a perpetual lesson schedule, allowing you to choose lesson times that suit your needs. Plus, should your schedule change, and availability exist, you’ll have the flexibility to adjust your lesson times as necessary.
How long are swim lessons?
Our swim classes typically run for 30 minutes once a week, with class timings available on our website. We recommend year-round swimming, ensuring that the skills taught become second nature to the student and they become confident in the water.
What should I bring to swim lessons?
Getting ready for swim lessons is easy. All you need to bring is your bathing suit, a towel, and, most importantly, a smile! We’re here to provide everything else you need for a fantastic swim experience.
What time should I arrive for my swim class?
To ensure a smooth and efficient experience, we kindly request that you arrive on the pool deck and ready to swim approximately 5 minutes before your scheduled class time. We take punctuality seriously and appreciate your cooperation in adhering to the designated class times.
Is food allowed in the pool area?
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all our guests, we kindly request that you do not bring food or glass items into the pool area.
Can I use the hot tub and exercise room?
No, the utilization of the hot tub and exercise room is strictly prohibited in compliance with our facility’s policies. This policy is enforced to maintain the quality of services provided to our guests. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines.
Can I book a party at your facility?
Yes, we offer party packages for birthdays and celebrations at our South Brunswick location.
Can parents observe swim lessons?
Absolutely! Parents are encouraged to sit poolside or behind the glass to observe their child’s lesson. We believe it’s essential for parents to witness their child’s progress and enjoy their swim journey. If you have any questions or need further information about your child’s lesson, please feel free to call our office. We’re here to help!
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
If after the student’s first class only with Into the Swim, you decide to discontinue instruction and notify us within three days, you will be refunded the full amount less the cost of the first lesson. If you discontinue at any other time, the money will be held in an account for your use within a year. You must give 3 days advance notice before your next class when you cancel if you would like it to be included in your credit. That money equaling the cost of the lessons that are left from the day you cancel can be applied towards the purchase of another quarter. There are no cancellations allowed when there are less than 4 weeks left in the quarter. There are no credit or refunds issued for all classes at our Ocean Township and Springfield/Union locations and swim team at any time prior to and during the season you signed for.
What is the policy for makeup classes at Into the Swim?
We understand that life can sometimes lead to unexpected absences. If your child misses a class due to illness or conflicting plans, please contact our office. We will do our best to reschedule a makeup class for them promptly. Due to scheduling and pool availability, make-up classes may need to be held on a different day or at an alternative location. Please note that make-up classes are limited to one per quarter for sessions of 8 classes or more. To utilize this option, the make-up class must be completed at least 3 weeks before the end of the registered quarter. While we strive to accommodate, please remember that your reserved time-slot is carefully matched, making regular attendance advisable. It’s important to note that make-ups are not available for Baby & Me classes, sessions at the Ocean Township and Springfield/Union locations, or Swim Team practices and meets. Thank you for your understanding.
How much do the classes cost?
Everything really depends on the student’s experience, what class we recommend, when you get started, and what location you attend classes at. Please look at the individual location you are interested in attending classes at and it will show you. Simply click the Find A Pool tab at the top of this page and choose the location that fits you best.
You can always click the Contact Us tab immediately below as well and we will happily answer any questions you have about the cost, how to register, and most other details you may want to know.
